Book Review by Kathy Roussin

Cryptography is the heart of this story. Code breaking and creation during WWII by Lawrence Waterhouse has unexpected consequences for his grandson, Randall Waterhouse, fifty years later. There are a host of quirky characters involved in math, cryptography, engineering, computers, and the internet. Neal Stephenson is a fantastic story teller who peppers this novel with laugh-out-loud scenes. A thoroughly enjoyable read. (4.5 out of 5 rating)
